Who's setting themselves up to have their heart broken by Fox again watching Virtuality? Yeah, it's a Ron Moore production (and I'll never trust HIM again) but Peter Berg (of FNL) is directing! 3, count em *3* people of color in space! (I think it's apparent the cast was assembled with an eye to diversity, in a thank-you-for-paying-attention kind of way; there's also a gay couple who appear to be having an actual relationship with each other and a dude in a wheelchair.) So far it looks pretty good, which means it probably won't last long, so catch it while you can.

In NYC, eating Cosi, having a quiet night in. Took the bus up this afternoon and it was a full bus but a generally quiet ride; the tunnel traffic alone was enough to make me v. glad I wasn't driving.

I watched it... might be a bit too drama-riffic for me. I like a bit of Jack O'Neill funny in my sci-fi.

What's the deal with Ron Moore? I know he worked on BSG, but I never watched that show either (for the same reason -- too serious), so I don't know the history, but you are the second person I've seen make that same kind of comment so I'm curious.

I haven;t heard anything about it, but I'm game. Has it started airing yet? (there aren't any episodes on hulu)

We watched it last night and liked it. I wasn't sure what it *was* so when it ended I said "what? that's it?" and D. said it's already canceled and they aired the pilot as a one-time thing (I think it totally works as a pilot, but not as a tv-movie).
