Notes on media consumption

Enormous post about the new season of television. Seriously, writing all this out was kind of exhausting - just imagine WATCHING it.

Grey's Anatomy & House are out of my rotation - got bored with them, although I'll miss GA's great music supervisor. I can't wait till the first few weeks of the season are over and I can happily trim away more.

Things we'll check out later: Pushing Daisies & Lost.

God, that's a lot of TV. Seriously, way WAY ready to trim some of this, but I always feel like I have to at least SEE what the new offerings are like, because what if there's something brilliant and amazing and I miss it?

Two radio notes

(1) Today on Marketplace, Kai Ryssdal referred to the Rihanna song with an "Um-ber-ella-ella-ella" which, really, sort of made my day. (Have just learned that Marc somehow made it through the entire summer without ever hearing this song. I think he must be the last man in America, yes?)

(2) AND! Last week, Melissa Block did an interview with John K. Samson, and it is here and, seriously, READ or listen to that and tell me how I am not supposed to love him and them and that record.


You know, I really do do some stuff besides consume media. Remember how a few months ago I was all sad because I couldn't find anything to read or watch or listen to or engage with that I found remotely interesting? Guess I'm over that for a bit. :D
