Hope you're all enjoying the day, whether you celebrate Easter or it's just one more lazy Sunday. Today's not the big day for us; Marc sat in the snow for several hours overnight on Fri/Sat to secure us highly sought after tickets for the White House Easter Egg Roll, so early Monday afternoon we'll be doing that. Today we have some errands and shopping to do, including finding an Easter bonnet for A. About eight years ago, back when I was first pregnant with O but before we'd found out he was a boy, I found a beautiful green linen dress that was the first baby item I ever bought for my own child(ren). Tomorrow, A will wear it to the White House Lawn. *hugs self to hold in the happy*

I'm really happy to have my kids back. I'm also glad not to be traveling for a while; I've flown 4 of the last 10 days, and I'm kinda over the airport for right now. We have a long weekend in SC the first weekend in May and then I'm off to NOLA for a long weekend in mid-May, but I'm staying put for the rest of April. Yay!

I'm glad to not be traveling right now too. *flumps* I made cookies this morning, and that's as complicated as I want to be for the next few weeks.

When I was about 7, we went to DC around Easter, and planned to do the Easter egg roll. We didn't know about the tickets, so we didn't actually end up doing it. But I had taken all the hard-boiled eggs from my easter basket with me thinking we had to bring our own eggs to roll. They sat in the hot car all day while we tromped around the Mall and Smithsonian.

... Anyway, I hope your kids (and you!) have lots of fun tomorrow.
