This summer is trying to kill me. It's not you, it's totally me.

So, yes, went to a big wedding, which was great. And we went to Belfast, where I was sick but everybody was so lovely - I was v fond of what we saw of the city - and did an Antrim coast drive thing, and then Edinburgh, which was Edinburghish, and we took a day trip to Glasgow, which I really liked, and I saw plays in London, which was fun. And then I came home, and went to a play that Solas Nua was doing and now I want to see all their stuff ever because I was impressed. And now we're in NYC and we saw a play that needed better editing and are mostly just hanging out and I have a GIANT blister on the ball of my foot and tonight we're going on a sailboat (big giant clipper ship yay!) to see fireworks. And then tomorrow, Marc turns 40omg and we're going home. And then Wednesday I leave for TX to pick up the kids, and I'm so looking forward to seeing them and dreading everything else about that trip. And then I'm home for a week, and then I'm off to San Diego for a week, where it will be mostly family time with Marc's family but also (I hope) a little bit of time at SDCC. And then? Then I am HOME, for most of the rest of the summer, where I will be writing my ass off in a mad hope to push out my paper from the study that we finished in the spring.

So this is why I'm not around much, and I'm writing this on an iPhone and the formatting keeps screwing up and, just, hi! Still reading, etc. So much is going on, but there is just no TIME.

ETA: right, the point of this post: happy 4th! Enjoy the holiday weekend, those of you who have one. The rest of you can use this time to work on your thank-god-we're-not-as-bad-as-the-Americans smugness, so I feel this is a win for everyone.
