Feb. 15th, 2008 07:20 pmI cannot even tell you how grateful I am that this week is over. I began it in the ER, and today it ended with a hell of a day, which I began by freaking out over a morning-gone-bad and ended by basically telling the executive director of the institute where I work that he should stop blowing smoke at the research staff. Which, I mean, anybody who's ever heard him speak can back me up that he so totally really really does but perhaps I shouldn't have said that. The only good news is that he didn't hate me by the end of the meeting and several people afterwards were like, GO YOU! but now I feel all jangly and meepish.
However. This week is over and we shall not speak of it. Instead, let's talk about Shore Leave, which is:
(a) in July
(b) just up the road in Baltimore (why are all the cons in Baltimore in that hotel? Balticon was there a few years ago and it's a weird space)
(c) featuring David & Kate Hewlett as guests!
I am dying of squee, but you know how exhausted squee is just sort of deflated? Yeah, that's how I feel. I WANT to squee but I'm stuck on "sq". My "eeeeeee" is flabby and uninspired. You should insert energetic, robust squee here, because that is totally how I'm feeling on the inside.
