Custom fabric dolls?

All right, mums and doting aunties, I need some help here. My daughter has fallen madly in love with this book and I would LOVE to be able to give her as a Christmas gift a doll of Camilla in all her fabulous striped-out glory, but merchandisers have not seen fit to make such a thing. :( Does anybody know anybody who makes custom cloth dolls? (OK, I know I'm asking a lot, but my flist is filled with interesting and creative people and you never know till you ask!)

I don't know anyone who makes dolls, nor have I made a doll. However, I've made a whole bunch of other crafty sewing things, and I could probably do a doll. :)

Oh gosh, I LOVE that book!

Maybe someone could knit one, with different colors of yarn? LJ is surprisingly full of knitters. You could also browse the DIY comms on here, there are a lot of them.

You might check with a person on my flist, ragdoll. She is a doll collector and she sells them as well - goes to trade shows, that sort of thing. If anyone would know about dolls, she would.

jademondin makes AMAZING dolls! She made a doll for both of my daughters last spring and they are SO adorable! Unfortunately I don't have pictures of them :(

That is probably my favourite picture book! I've made friends buy it for childlike relations many a time. I now wish I could make a doll for it!
