I do not think that word means what you think it means

Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence

You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well.
An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly.
You are also good at remembering information and convicing someone of your point of view.
A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary.

You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator.

So, you know, whatever with THAT. I don't think I'm a particularly talented writer - I feel like I spend a lot of time grasping at words to articulate what I mean; although I've often been told that people find me articulate and well-spoken, I don't always feel like I'm communicating as clearly as I'd like. That said, I am damn good at linguistic analysis, which has pretty much nothing to do with being able to communicate well. So again, whatever with that, she said vaguely.

Took A. to the pediatric ophthamologist this morning and learned that it's v. likely that she'll have to have ANOTHER eye surgery sometime in the new year, to which I say (quite succinctly) goddammit! I am worried and freaked out and kind of pissed and largely afraid that no matter that we're doing all the right things, we may never be able to get her eyes just right. This bothers me for lots of reasons, some of which are so shallow that I feel really stupid talking about them (but she's so pretty and charismatic! it's not right that those beautiful brown eyes are screwed up!) and most of which are just serious stuff. Gah.

Also, mass kidnappings of academics are NOT progress, and neither is this. :-|

I got the same answer on the quiz. I give it a big "whatever" for me too, though I do think it suits you just fine.

Poor A. *snuggles* Don't feel stupid.

Yeah, that link. Just... yeah.

MAN. I haven't been in the US in what feels like forever, but has only been nine years. But. GAH. These people, the ones making those laws, they scare the hell out of me. :((

Poor A. She's such a brave kid, going through all of this.
*hugs you*
And you are a brave mom for going through this with her.

Sorry to hear about A.'s eyes. I feel the same way about my younger son's. Well, we KNOW they'll never be right--he'll always need some kind of correction unless things change dramatically in the LASIK field...but his eyes are such a beautiful blue I hate hiding them behind glasses.

*hugs muchly in advance for A and you* I remember last time and how you stressed - how could you not? - but that went well, and this will too, and hopefully this will be IT.

Help, off-topic

Hey, do you remember the name of the program you used to f-lock your past entries? I think it was you who posted about it...

I approve heartily of your subject line quote :-)
