This episode makes me want to cry; I've dreaded it all summer. Poor Amanda Tapping - it's not HER fault I kind of want to throw up every time I hear her voice. This is unusual for me - there are usually characters I care for more than others, but usually I'll just stop watching a show if there's someone I actively dislike. You're On Notice, SGA.
chromodynamics votes we ship her off to that nice hospital in Seattle - they lost a couple of surgeons over the summer. She's Sam Carter, right? She can do anything. *rolls eyes*
Also? WTF is she doing going on missions? Did she learn nothing from Jean-Luc Picard?! See, this is what I mean. Why is everybody else even THERE? Why don't they just clone Sam and then she can be an action hero/scientific genius/brilliant leader x 200? I mean, this is part of what I kind of liked about Elizabeth, that she WASN'T out there, that she didn't even WANT to be. But Sam can't just be good at being their leader - she also has to have brilliant solutions to lab quandries and be an excellent shot. *rolls eyes some more*
This is making me v. v. crabby.
I am an advanced state of braindead tonight, and I have to spend tomorrow afternoon in the lab. *cries* And then there's a housewarming party, so that'll be fun, and then I'm spending all morning Sunday at the Maryland Science Center, interviewing kids about dinosaurs. I need to draft a quick and dirty release form; this is for my son's short film, so it doesn't need to be official or whatever, but I do need to come up with something. Can anyone point me to some legal language somewhere?
Finally - omg autumn! Hurrah! It's finally here! With luck, we won't close the bedroom windows till sometime in late November. :D
