I find autocapping to be kind of overwhelming with the sheer number of caps produced, and unless you're taking an insane number of caps you can miss a specific moment of greatness, so I often prefer to do it manually in VLC (under the "video" menu or by right clicking on the screen and choosing "snapshot"). But it's totally okay to useexistingcaps with credit, should you wanna.
