Dec. 7th, 2006 10:16 amIn Florida for the launch, which may very well be scrubbed on account of weather. If you have any kind of pipeline into global weather patterns, I'd really appreciate it if you could put in a request or good thoughts or whatever for miraculously clear skies along the central Florida coast for about 9 pm Eastern, thanks! If the launch scrubs it's no big deal as at least we'll have the day at Kennedy, and the kids are ridiculously excited about WDW, so whatever. Most of you know how v. little I care for WDW, but god, M has worked so hard to make this a vacation for all of us, so no complaining here! I'm all about Christmas lights at Epcot, I guess.
The drive down was really, really, REALLY f'ing long, but uneventful once we figured out that Dramamine would keep A. from being violently carsick every hour or so. *deep sigh* It also puts her to sleep, so bonus for the drive home! We did the little-present-at-every-state-line thing for the kids (so that'd be NC, SC, GA and FL - they were sleeping for VA :D), so they were kept busy and generally quite happy. And
ellen_fremedon called and kept me busy pretty much all the way across the state of Georgia, so that was appreciated. We'll be driving back on Saturday and I have actually turned my ringer BACK ON (so sorry if you've missed me lately - it keeps turning itself off) so feel free to call to offer distractions.
I am really tired. I really, REALLY hate Orlando and its crowding and love of packaging the hell out of EVERY experience and its serious lack of convenient white mochas. But I really love my family, and they're happy and also very cute, so it's all good.
