Whatev. In the car today, I heard "Last Christmas" by Wham and by the time they got to "I gave you my heart and the very next day, you gave it away", I had decided it was my new Kara/Lee theme song. Yes. And I had this whole fullblown bad!crack!fic!vision in my head where Laura Roslin decides they need to address their grievances through the magic of karaoke instead of boxing, and Lee sings it to Kara. I know, I scare myself, too. But look:
Chorus:
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away (She did! She totally did!)
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special (2X)
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby do you recognise me? (Because he is fat!Lee now, get it?)
Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me
(Happy Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I Love You" I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again
Chorus:
(Oooh. Oooh Baby)
A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice (See: Kara is a stone cold bitch)
My God I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Oooh Oooh
Now I've found a real love you'll never fool me again
Right, so the Christmas stuff? Totally doesn't work. But Jesus, work with me here, people. *pictures Lee in a Santa hat, all bitter and weepy*
