Today's Objectified Contestants: Paul Gross and Callum Keith Rennie

Background: I was looking through this picspam and doing a little sigh and I said to Marc, "just, just look at him and appreciate the pretty, yes?" and he was like, you know, I just don't get it for him. And I was gobsmacked, because THEN he said that he can see what I see in Callum Keith Rennie much more easily, which... I mean, I find Callum hot as hell, but I don't find him particularly traditionally handsome, whereas Paul I think of as just sort of empirically pretty. Like, by any measure, you will find him a good-looking guy, but Marc was just having none of it. I continue to be a bit thrown.

So, you know, I know most of you don't know who these guys are. I find this tragic, if a bit understandable. So here are links to great picspams I know of, a whole community of them for Paul and one fan's history of Callum. Tell me what YOU see.

Also, I just wanted to point out the pretty and give it a moment of squee, because sometimes all that is just too much to hold in. :D

I don't know if that's necessarily Marc's reasoning, but, yeah, Paul Gross doesn't really do anything for me.

I think this is why I was thrown by it, because Paul tends to inspire rather wholesome appreciation (although not always completely), whereas my thoughts regarding Callum are definitely appreciative of a whole other kind. *leers* Which makes a lot of sense to me, but I think I wasn't really expecting Marc to pick up on that, exactly.

Still think Paul's kind of pretty is underappreciated, although I tend to have a soft spot for men in sweaters, and Paul is v. much a sweater guy.
