This year's jack-o-lanterns have been brought to you exclusively by their corporate sponsors and Marc's mad carving skillz. Presenting Yoda and Dora!

And OK, so it's kind of a crappy dinner, but the kids love it, and I think they're precious. Mummy dogs dipped in blood, yay!

(Sorry to anyone who clicked before I realized how absolutely enormous those were. Oops!)

Marc's taking the kids out tonight and I'm on door duty. Be safe!

Marc is DEDICATED - he was outside finishing the carving, I was inside making caramel apples, and our kids had totally ditched both of us to play Star Wars LEGO on the PS2. *sticks out tongue*

A and O are SO CUTE - I'm curious about how he looks transformed because that'd be interesting /:)

And the dinner is cute and the pumpkins are AWESOME! :D

I love Halloween, but this is the first year I've been able to get it together to do a cute dinnery thing before trick-or-treating - I'll admit that there's a part of me that really wants to be That Mom, but it's usually completely overwhelmed by the part of me that wants to do other cool things, like sit around and drink coffee and read fic. :D This year we did the killer pumpkins and both made it to the school for the parties and the parades and then had the silly little themey dinner at home, and it really did make me happy.

Did Marc carve that without any sort of template? If so, wow! And those mummy dogs are adorable - I'll have to remember that for another year.

He had a thing he'd printed out, but he freehanded it onto the pumpkin. I'm v. impressed with how well they turned out, especially Yoda!

The mummy dogs are easy, easy, easy, too - recipe on the Pillsbury website.
