DC people - movie this weekend?
Dec. 28th, 2006 11:42 pmI'm still in Texas for the holidays. The kids are swimming everyday, my parents bought them a tiny kiddie four-wheeler for Christmas, and I've been driving around town in the biggest fucking F-150 you could imagine - with the sunroof open. Yep, it's Christmas vacation in Texas.
BUT! The point of this post is that we will be back in DC on Saturday, and is anyone interested in catching "Children of Men" in G'town early Sunday (so we can get out of there before all hell breaks loose, ideally) or sometime Monday afternoon? Marc and I are going to have to see it in shifts because it's not starting this week in Houston. (Which is, may I remind movie producing types, the fourth largest city in the US - just, like, better not to get me started on all the ways that that whole thing sucks.)
Christmas here was fine and the kids are deliriously happy to be spending time with their grandparents. It's been a good visit but, wow, I'm really glad we don't live here and will be returning home in just a few days.

sundancekid, I JUST saw your post. How long will you be here? We're going into the Museum District tomorrow with the entire family - I don't know what tomorrow evening looks like. ♥)
