Done! The horrible presentation is done! There were questions I couldn't answer, but mostly because the topic is so new and the data is all over the place and the original researchers are mostly at the "huh, yeah, we don't know. But isn't the data interesting?!" phase. I think I might have looked a bit stupid, but I really don't care overmuch. Because, did I mention, DONE!!!

And now I just have to write a paper about it, but that's not due for another three weeks, so there'll be some time before I start whining to LJ about it. Thank you for your patience. ♥

And presale seats for the Decemberists with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra went up today, and Marc ruled enough to get some for us. Row A yay!

Yay! I have tickets for that show as well. However I'll be behind you since I'm playing the poor grad student role and will be sitting on the lawn. *bounces* But I don't care because Decemberists, YAY!

And yay for being done with presentations. I have one more to go, but it's not even a presentation to the class, just to the professor. That, a project and two finals. I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Also, hey, I got your text but was far too busy losing my cool to respond. Yes, I have made travel plans! I leave that Wednesday night to fly down to Kristen's and then we're renting a minivan to drive down to NOLA on Thursday morning. I'm flying back to BWI Monday at 2:20p on AirTran. COME FLY WITH ME!

I was thinking about this today. I never feel done or like I worked hard enough on any project. Does anybody? I honestly can't tell if it is just me or some people.

Though I actually finished a short story that took me three years to write and rewrite and I feel really good about that. So I am obviously crazy. :D

I love that phase. I'm going to try and spend my entire academic career at that phase.

I mean, that phase is SO much fun as a researcher - that's the play, right? But I hate presenting on it, because as a student it's a disaster and they're all so full of "but what does that mean for processing and why does it work that way" and I'm like... do I look like a cognitive neuroscientist to you? I DO NOT KNOW GO TO BOSTON AND ASK HER OMG I WILL DRIVE YOU TO THE AIRPORT!
